As former students ourselves, we would acknowledge the fact that every time a concept was taught to us, the first thing that happens to us is that we see pictures in our mind, sometimes dynamic, sometimes static. A picture of every object that we are aware of, resides in some corner of our head. And concepts that we learn in life are made up of those objects. Every time we try to comprehend a concept, we see those objects in our mind move around and interact with each other.
The concepts to be learned for CAT, though simple take a long time to register if not learned in a structured and comprehensible manner. A fair balance of speed and accuracy is possible only when you are able to understand concepts well enough to apply them in really complex situations.
Since pictorial representations contribute to building long lasting mind-impressions and aid easy visualizations of complex concepts, we have incorporated the use of dynamic images in our instructionmedium and teaching tools. Our approach has been to relate each concept to real life situations and help students find easiest possible solutions to problems involved. This would help students to visualize and understand complex topics better. Our product takes into consideration the varied understanding abilities of a diverse range of students.
